A long-standing Jack Taylor client, NextSense, a pioneer in brain-sensing wearable technology, entered 2026 with the official launch and commercial shipping of NextSense Smartbuds on its radar. Unlike other sleep trackers on the market that only monitor, Smartbuds have a distinct advantage, using six EEG sensors to measure brain activity in real time.
Despite the differentiated product, the company faced an uphill battle. The sleep wellness space is one of the most crowded and competitive in consumer health, valued at $585 billion and saturated with trackers, apps and wearables all vying for attention. At the same time, the concept and understanding of EEG was new to most consumers, requiring both education and trust-building to drive adoption.

As the company’s PR and affiliate marketing agency of record, Jack Taylor was tasked with developing and executing the PR launch strategy for Smartbuds.
Jack Taylor began by developing a comprehensive PR and go-to-market strategy with the main goal of helping consumers understand this was not just another sleep tracker.
Our team crafted differentiated narratives that articulated how the product was the gold standard for measuring brain activity, and how that then translates to deeper sleep. Also included in this strategy were targets for product trials and seeding - including YouTube and other influencer reviewers - plans for launching the affiliate program, and how the team would measure success.
